Meet the new boss, same as the old boss

From the AP

President-elect Barack Obama's aides have privately asked senators whether Washington attorney Eric Holder would be confirmed as the next attorney general, according to a person involved in the talks.

The talks suggest that Obama is deeply interested in Holder, who served as the No. 2 official in the Justice Department under President Clinton.

In the past week, Obama aides have asked Senate Republicans whether they would support Holder. In particular, the aides questioned whether Holder's confirmation would be delayed because of his involvement in the 2001 pardon of fugitive Marc Rich by President Bill Clinton.

For all those who thought Obama was a "different kind of politician", seems he's just the same old politico in a new suit...

Yeppers... "Change"... "Hope"...

I'll post yet again your words:

Actually, I have regularly heard the most awful, heinous things about President Bush.

I think Carter was a MUCH better president (and man) than George W. Bush.

Yeah...and we can only guess what they're doing there, if they're anything like their old boss....

...sorry, couldn't resist...it seems more sensible to be sure these are people who know where their morals are than the restrooms....

Opinions are a great thing.

Without coming across as disrespectful or sarcastic, if you "voted for Obama for who he is," then who IS he? Because I sure can't tell who he is at all, and I can't imagine how one might determine who he is except by his past, which seems to comprise, at least in great part, a sparse, often absent, voting record, minimal executive accomplishments, and a list of shady (at best) associations. How did you determine "who he is," and who exactly is he?

I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. When I said "who he is" I meant the traits that he possesses that I want in a President, as well as what I believe he can offer our nation. Basically I meant that I voted for him b/c of what I think he can bring to the Presidency rather than "promises". And to answer your question of who I think he is,
