I seriously doubt that Sarah Palin had ANYTHING to do with McCain winning the primary. It was more likely the $20M cash advantage he had.

The ads that I saw did not seem overly negative. The ads I remember were McCains and him talking about "character matters".

Granted, I don't watch much T.V. I don't watch any in the day time and any shows I watch I always record them on the DVR then watch them later in the evening. I always fast forward thru commercials.

Hayworth was probably done in when the infomercial stuff came out proving he was a real shyster (not sure if I am spelling that right).

Then McCain seemed to capitalize on "character" after that. Again, I think it was most voters voted for the lesser of two evils.

Just to add, I'd meant nobody better in terms of all the times he was elected to the Senate in Arizona, ie. including this last time. If he had no message that resonated with the people there, that never would have happened in the first place.
