No one can say why Biden used that number. For all we know, it could have been discussed behind closed doors and Obama and Biden agreed 150K was the NEW number. Of course, it is now 120K (wasn't that Richardson?) Point is, the numbers are changing on a daily basis and none of us knows what the REAL number will be in the end. It does not bode well to see the number keep getting lower.

Since YOU brought up expenses that is the REAL problem. From both sides of the aisle. Both the Republican and Democrats are to blame for this. Even though tax revenue has increased every year (despite TAX CUTS) YES tax cuts always increase Tax revenue. Look it up. We have a deficit, WHY??? BECAUSE they SPEND TOO MUCH MONEY!!!!!!

When we as families start running out of money (as almost all of us have) we have to spend LESS. The Government needs to do the same. Not just hold the line on spending but actually spend less. Yes, we may have to do with less. Hard to believe but we hard working tax payers and that includes all the people who make over $250,000.00 because they ARE WORKING!!!! are going with less because everything cost a lot more. The reason the people in Government don't see that is they are all super rich. They all have so much money they have no idea how any of us live .McCain and Obama included. Just look at Al Gore traveling around in his private jet and caravan of SUV's. Living in his mansion in Tennessee that probably uses more energy in one month than my entire house in a year. They have no concept of how it is to to buy gas or groceries. Stealing money from 5% of hard working Americans is not going to do a thing. How would you feel if that was you? What if that was your neighbor? The one that gets up at 5 am to go to work everyday, the one that took all the risks to succeed and now has. Just in time for the government to rob him or her of their hard earned money. I guess it OK to steal other peoples money as long as it's not yours but soon enough when they don't have enough money they will come for yours too and then who will stand up and fight for you? Increasing Taxes on Any American is wrong! Government needs to spend less first!

THE NUMBERS HAVE NOT CHANGED! I'm sorry to "yell" but I've posted about this several times in the past few days so I'm getting very frustrated every time I see it brought up yet again.

OK, still have not seen the tape...isn't this called hearsay?

Again, I say, McCain has never associated with anyone questionable? Do we know ALL of his associations? Nope.

Also, you say this is bound to happen again...even if all is true, do you really think he will set himself up for that? Doubt it.

It is possible to think of the middle class falling into a range of incomes (say the middle 50% of earners), in which case, more than one number could be "correct". It doesn't mean that they will raise taxes for those people.

On the other hand, I think it's entirely possible that either candidate will end up raising taxes for more people than they are promising. It's not uncommon for actual policies to differ from campaign promises. The first Bush infamously promised no new taxes and then raised taxes. This Bush should have raised taxes when he started a war that costs billions every month. I think people need to vote on the philosophy behind the plans rather than feeling wedded to the specific plan itself.
