Obama alleges McCain is guilty of old political "swift boat" politics:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/10/campaign.wrap/index.html
In the same article, it goes on to say:
Earlier Wednesday, Obama's campaign announced it was launching "Alaska Mythbusters," a group of Alaskans that the campaign says will "set the record straight" about Palin.
Who is trying to "swift boat".

Obama was speaking about McCain's economic policy when he made the remark. Had we said you can put lipstick on a pitbull and it's still a pitbull I would agree that he was speaking of Palin.....however...he used a well known saying referring to the fact you can dress somthing up...but it's still what it started out being. Cheny...McCain and multiple others have used that saying including my grandfather on many occasions. It's nothing new. THe only similarities between what Obama said...and Palin's own admission....is the word lipstick. Big whoop. I wish the election was about issues...and not made up controversy.
I also didn't see anyone up in arms when McCain used the lipstick remark when referring to HIllary Clinton's health plan. No one stoood up and said...OMG he called Clinton a PIG!!!!!!! Why? It's a well known saying. Jeez...Obama was right...."they are going to make a big election about little things."
No he wasn't.
i'd rethink that, web. there is nothing that indicates he was referring to Palin other than the fact the references were made in the same speech. he could just have easily been calling McCain a pig - but no one goes there because they WANT to see a smear against Palin.

No. He wasn't. He was clearly talking about policies.
Baloney.
We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.
"Yep the more scared the dems are the nastier the comments get.
Mc Cain made that statement that he voted with Bush 90% of the time in May 2003. Obama's people have run ads saying "he voted with Bush 90% of the time wanting to lead people to believe that meant all the time.
<>
you allege that McCain did not support Bush 90% of the time the other 7 years. i asked that you reference the time when he did not support Bush - just as you suggested to the other poster. until you provide proof that he did not support Bush during those other years, then you cannot say that the Obama ad is misleading.
and thank you for the link. it did not answer my question. it pointed to a few specific votes, but not his overall record.

If you say it in campaign, even for another person, than another person can use it.
