~One of the reasons, Becks rally numbers were so important to him, as he explained in his own words, is that the executives at Fox said if he could bring in 400,000 people or so, then he could have O'Reilly spot in prime time....~

Ah. And hm :)

I haven't thought of him going in that direction. Who knows, I guess.

When I was much younger I knew two of the most famous evangelists in North America, ie. before they were evangelists and famous. Like Beck, they were sincerely concerned about the direction the they felt the world was headed in, and wanted to make a big difference.

I've no idea, though.

~In what way? He wants to be an evangelist? To lead a university? To have his own TV show(cant be that)?~

I'm just guessing, but as Beck has been mentioning God often on his show lately, just started an online university, etc., he might have interests beyond the current media contracts he holds.

Robertson founded a whole network, and involved himself in all sorts of things both political and religious.

He can be whatever he wants to be. That is the beauty of America.

That's a scary thought. But...he does seem to have a following, and seems to be putting himself out there as having some special relationship with his God. Who knows...maybe he'll start his own church. Look at how Scientology has developed over the years from the musings of L. Ron Hubbard.
