I guess you can call it a double-edged sword. People say stay informed and know the issues. They tell you to watch the news. They tell you read the newspaper, but when you seek out these sources in your quest to stay enlightened you end up getting frustrated, especially if you are conservative or subscribe to traditional American values. Why? Because you are being force fed pure, unadulterated liberal BS chock full of their biased views. So the next time you just happen to sit down in front of the TV, pick up the newspaper or click on that webpage don't question that feeling in the pit of your stomach. Because if you're anything like me you probably want to throw up because it is no secret as to what the liberal media is trying to do. These organizations have the audacity to try to pass the garbage they peddle on the public as objective news reporting. And it just gets progressively worse every year. The news coverage of the presidential primaries and general election season has been and is an absolute farce. Most major media outlets and their talking heads are nothing more than a marketing arm of the Barack Obama campaign. To these people this man can do no wrong. He possesses no real experience or major accomplishments, can outright lie through his teeth and

LOL your source for information about bias in the media is a self-proclaimed conservative group. (from their website) "On October 1, 1987, a group of young determined conservatives set out to not only prove — through sound scientific research — that liberal bias in the media does exist and undermines traditional American values, but also to neutralize its impact on the American political scene. What they launched that fall is the now acclaimed — Media Research Center (MRC).

Pot, meet kettle.

FYI sound scientific research never starts with an agenda to "prove" something.

kubala... are you taking into account that:

a) NPR is an entire network that is liberal?

b) The television networks, with the exception of FOX are liberal?

c) The majority of newpapers, including all the major papers except the Wall St. Journal are liberal?

The only place there is a preponderance of conservatives is talk radio.

I wish conservatives would stop acting like the minority in this country.

Ok, yes in regards to MSM you are correct although I believe each of these liberal sources have a percentage of conservative writers/hosts etc.. on their programs.

Why do you think the media is liberal? In other words, is it because liberal people prefer to be journalists or because conservatives don't want to be journalists?

By the way, the data in your post is as much as 15 years old. There is more up-to-date information out there.

I was thinking about these statistics from the Reagan era, and I was thinking: If the "establishment" was conservative, then wouldn't the press, who's basic job is to both report events and ask tough questions of those in power, at least appear more liberal regardless of the personal beliefs of reporters?

During the Clinton era, the Press didn't give Clinton a pass.

Fortunately for you, there is no shortage of conservative pundits in the MSM (and don't try to tell me Fox News and AM talk radio isn't MSM).
