Nanny state alert!!!

The state legislature of Hawaii is considering a proposed bill to ban the sale of toy guns to minors. It carries with it a $2000 fine.
Here is a link.

Arent we going just a little too far with even having this up for consideration?
Sonny
It doesn't bother me. Hawaii can do what it chooses to do. States rights and all that.
The real culprit is the far too ready access to high-powered and automatic/semi-automatic firearms. But the Hawaiian state leaders might not have the will or courage to tackle powerful gun lobby groups like the NRA.
So the "nanny state" epithet might be valid for me too but not in a way with which you would probably agree.
This offers me very little surprise.
To some, individual liberty and responsibility are paramount.
Others prefer to have the state make their decisions.

Yes this is Nannystateism at it's worst.
