Near-Universal Contraception Coverage Approved

Seems like this would be a good thing. More contraception = less abortion, less people who can't afford - or don't want - babies actually having them.

"Today, in a huge victory for women’s health, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced that most employers will be required to cover contraception in their health plans, along with other preventive services, with no cost-sharing such as co-pays or deductibles. This means that after years of trying to get birth control covered to the same extent that health plans cover Viagra, our country will finally have nearly universal coverage of contraception."

Yes, that's exactly it. I find it despicable what some of these "crisis pregnancy centers" do with pregnant women, falsely telling them that abortion causes breast cancer, causes psychological problems, causes sterility, etc.

An enemy of the people and guilty of treason for approving inclusion of contraception...

all I've got anthony is...wow.

Or maybe not:

Section 8 - Powers of Congress

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

I'm not familiar with "crisis pregnancy centers" either, what I said was crisis pregnancy and that's not the same thing..... I haven't heard that abortion causes breast cancer but I have heard problems in abortion leading to sterility and I have heard that abortion leaves behind emotional scars on some girls/women too, are you saying that's false?

All of those things I listed are false, yet they are things that "crisis pregnancy centers" tell pregnant women.

March for Lifers believe that life begins at conception and ends at natural death.

You're absolutely right it's a belief, and beliefs are rooted from all kinds of things - from morals to ignorance! In my earlier years I was behind the whole right to chose movement actually but then I married and got pg for the first time, I think it's crazy to NOT think life begins with a hearbeat and when my own's was picked up at 6 weeks gestation I changed my own ways.

I know PP does some good as I have seen some of their work in our own schools. About terminating your pregnancy, was the father behind your choice too? Thanks.

There was no "father" because there was no baby.

The "morning after pill" doesn't cause an abortion. Why would anyone have to ask their male partner if he agrees before taking a morning after pill? Does a woman need to ask the man for his agreement before she takes birth control? Same thing.

Are you saying that you don't believe in oral contraceptives?

Thanks for the example showing that the Constitution in no way gives the federal government the power to force employers to offer certain types of compensation. Obviously, this is none of their business.

"Resist, we much. We must, and we much. About that, be committed."
