No Riots if Kerry Wins

So Elizabeth Edwards is saying that there won't be any riots if Kerry/Edwards take PA. So what does that mean? If you vote for Bush/Cheney you run the risk of causing riots in the streets?

I'm sure it was just a slip of the tongue, but it shows what the mindset of the campaign is. And they are accusing the Republicans of voter intimidation.

<

The wife of Dem vice presidential hopeful John Edwards said on Sunday there will be no riots around the election -- if Kerry/Edwards wins!

C-SPAN cameras captured spouse Elizabeth Edwards making the startling comments to a supporter during a Kerry Campaign Town Hall Meeting in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Supporter: Kerry's going to take PA.

Liz Edwards: I know that.

Supporter: I'm just worried there's going to be riots afterwards.

Liz Edwards: Uh.....well...not if we win.>>

Oh, please. It sounds like a simple quip. Taking something like this and turning it into a big deal is nonsense. Of course, we're seeing a lot of that lately.

I don't care about riots, "real jobs", flu shots or draft rumors. This type of thing from both sides is just obnoxious.

For me, Bush's dismal record speaks for itself. I don't need anything else to influence my vote to get him the he** out of office.

ps. I just think that NEITHER party should be trying to take the high road so it amuses me to see something so stupid put out as some sort of illustration of character.

Maybe it was an attempt at humor?

Honestly this voter intimidation thing in Florida is getting old too.

I think she's been spending too much time with Kerry's wife-now they're both making silly comments and inflammatory statements.

With all due respect (and I *do* respect your tone when you post :)) yes, people should be taking the time to check things out but when I hear that admonition from one side over and over and then seen that THEY take their information from less than stellar sources, (and pick and choose what 'information' they think has merit) it just makes me roll my eyes.

I am looking forward to the election being over. I don't care if Cheney got his flu shot. Maybe it will improve his disposition ;)

Both he and Clinton need it for health reasons so it makes sense to me.

But this "what do the wives say" garbage is out of hand. I don't care what Laura says or what any of them say. I'm not voting for them.

"Uh.....well...not if we win"

Clearly she was caught off guard by somebody supporter's inane comment.

No, thanks, LMB. For the simple reason that you cannot seem to take your own advice. You post opinion pieces and psuedo studies from groups that have a similar mindset and assume that it is therefore fact.

I didn't give accolades to any "obvious propaganda" posts. If you are talking about the reply to the stem cell one from Wen, then you are wrong. She wrote what is actually verifiable truth. The 'propaganda' is the attempt to make Bush look like a leader in stem cell research. To quote several here: Do some research.

I disagree with the Bush platform, I want not just him but several members of the administration gone, the country is NOT better off under his presidency, in fact, we're more divided than we have been in *years*, and he has proven himself inept at the big decisions. He needs to be gone.

I think like LBush said it's very hard to be on the trail ..... I don't think Mrs. Edwards meant anything by that.
