Can we move on to other issues? Or do you think people will still believe that he wasn't born in the US? I can imagine people saying it was forged, or that the POTUS could just have one made up. What do you think?

A Hillary Clinton supporter started it. Notice how she didn't carry on about it? As far as Republicans and conservatives being racist, that only applies to those who show us all they are racist by their words and deeds.

Yeah you know he is a naturally born citizen he did in one term what bush could not do in two and he works quietly calmly even handed even tempered. He gets the job done but yeah you are so right. How dare he right?

Apparently. It's mind boggling how stupid some people are.

Of course, it's not the original. It was photocopied from the original either onto the safety paper or photocopied, then copied again onto the safety paper, then scanned to be put on the internet.

Yep, they could very easily have explained that. But they didn't

My word for it would be "pathetic." There's been all sorts of suppositions swirling around about this "long form" birth certificate:

1. They wouldn't have used the words "African" and "Caucasian" under race, especially in the 1960s. (Funny, but my DH's birth certificate from Kentucky in the 1960s says "Cau" under race for his parents)

2. The hospital named didn't exist until 1978 according to the website of the hospital itself. (Never mind that wingnuts apparently can't read and the website says no such thing. The maternity hospital was founded in 1890, became the name of the hospital listed on the birth certificate in 1931, and in 1978 it merged with the children's hospital to become the current hospital).

3. There's numbers written all over the birth certificate and why is that. (Looks to me like the type of coding that would be done to prepare a document for data input into a computer system.)

4. Obama's mother was underage when he was conceived, so he can't be a natural born citizen.

5. The birth certificate doesn't have the name "Barry Soetoro." (Never mind that his mother didn't marry Soetoro until 1967.)

6. The registrar's name sounds made up. (Apparently they haven't heard of any Lee's in a country with a lot of Asians...and in doing a people search in Hawaii found two people with similar initials.)

7. The layer thing (that has been debunked).

8. Why doesn't it have a seal? (Never mind that it's a photocopy of the original which wouldn't have a seal on it because it's the original.)

9. It says Certificate of Live Birth instead of Birth Certificate (Never mind that most, if not all, states call them Certificate of Live Birth...it's a federal standard...just as death certificates are called Certificate of Death instead of Death Certificate.)

10. Why do the Nordyke twins who were born a day after Obama have an a lower certificate number than Obama. (Never bothering to look at a calendar for 1961 and discovering that those births occurred on a Friday and Saturday, which means that the registrar at the records department likely got all the paperwork on Monday or so and didn't bother to put them in date/time order before issuing the birth certificates).

There's more, of course, but I don't have the energy to type it all out. What is clearly apparent is that a particular segment of our population has neither common sense or the ability to use logic and reason, and they frankly do not care. If one thing doesn't work for them, they move right on to the next thing with batting an eyelash.

Oh, and regarding the Nordyke twins, their birth certificates that the rightwingers claim are authentic are entitled... Certificate of Live Birth! Bwahahaha.

Oh, the conspiracy! Seriously, you are having a problem with the administration not laying out in graphic detail how the record was copied? It's frickin' common sense! How else were they going to get it on the computer for everyone to see?
