Obama and no Checks & Balances

Is anyone else worried that Obama probably will win the presidency, the Democrats very likely will have control over both houses of Congress, and there might be enough votes to break the filibuster? I would be OK if one or two of these factors happened, but not all three. We will have no Checks & Balances. I would feel this way whether the Republicans or the Democrats had power. No party ever should be this dominant and have this much power. Is anyone else worried about the potential loss of our Checks & Balances?

She doesn't know for sure, but most likely work for the state department. She's very interested in foreign affairs. She still has 2.5 more years to decide.

Maybe she could be McCain's vp pick .. then at least we'd have someone that knew about foreign affairs, lol.

Sorry .. Palin's lack of knowledge just appalls me.

My sentiments exactly. There were FAR better options than Sarah Palin that would have made me way more comfortable with a McCain presidency. I wouldn't have voted for him no matter who he picked because I genuinely like Obama and his views more closely align with mine. But I wouldn't be so anti-McCain had he made a better VP pick.

I agree that 18 seems so young to be going off to war. It's so heartbreaking to hear about

>>>Not to mention the fact that Cheney now claims to be both a member of the Executive Branch AND the Legislative Branch. <<<

Or neither, depending on what investigation he is trying to elude that day...
