"It's time to put the election behind us and the country in front of us. Barack Obama wasn't my choice, but come January 20th, he will be MY President.... I will not seek to see all
Well, given that voting is private and everyone who was so worried about being thought of as racist could just say that they DID vote for Obama, when in fact they did not, I don't think this will add up to too many people.
And I suppose it will weigh in against those who say they are going to vote for Obama but at the last minute change their mind because they simply can't pull the lever for a black man.
Not being her I can't say for sure, but I'd guess its based on the reality that the number of black voters registered Republican is pretty slim, therefore the number of black voters who have switched to vote for Obama soley because of his skin color is also likely very small.
I have too. I had a breakfast bible study with a black woman from my church. She stated she was very upset that her family and friends were voting for him because he is black and were very upset with her for not voting for him.
