To clarify, she didn't have two abortions because she was "pro-abortion" but because she dsiplayed bad judgement. She didn't want the abortions, but she didn't have the tools she needed to keep from getting pregnant, and she couldn't face up to the consequences. She didn't abstain, and she didn't use contraception. That's "pure dumb", as my mom would say. True, but not uncommon. I have never, ever (and I'm 50) heard anyone say "I'm pro-abortion", or "Abortion is an acceptable form of birth control". There are pathological exceptions to everything, of course.
I forgot to add (or to clarify) that she didn't use birth control because her parents told her to abstain from sex until marriage. Using contraception would mean that the encounter was "planned". It was a guilt thing. She's not the only person I've talked to who felt this way. I think the rate of abortion should be reduced through education, not legislation. Legislation doesn't change the situation (sex without contraception) that causes unplanned babies. And, as I think the president VP candidate's situation makes devastatingly clear, no matter what we've taught them, our kids sometimes make impulsive decisions that can have an impact on the rest of their lives.
And hey, if Palin is a sick piece of work for promoting wolf control, then Obama is a sick piece of work for stalling legislation that would protect babies born alive.
Do you think they're having abortions for fun? Apparently it's an unpleasant (and dangerous) process. I know someone who had two. She didn't want to face her parents, to let them know that she'd been having sex. She didn't want to get contraception, because her parents might find out. Her parents were well off and prominent in the community. She didn't want to "let them down" or "shame" them. She felt terrible about the abortions. She just didn't know what to do. When she got pregnant a third time, she kept the baby. I never heard what happened to her after that.
first of all, what reasonable person listens to Keyes talk about who Jesus Christ would or would not vote for? actually, His words were “Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s” Matthew 22.21. And Jesus never had the opportunity to vote so who is Keyes to speculate. so now that we have determined that Keyes is pompous ...
second, gets their facts from youtube?
third, Obama did support the federal version of this legislation. reading this would help clarify, as heavenly suggested.

Did I say it was "fun"? I don't believe so.
As far as the individual you cited, I think someone like that should be encouraged to have her tubes tied so she doesn't pass on the "stupid gene".
I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure

How did Obama stall legislation?

He held it in committee!! Did you LISTEN to Keyes?
BTW, folks, this isn't about abortion...this is about not protecting babies born alive after a failed abortion attempt.

Do we know the same person?
You do realize, don't you, that this whole piece of slime was debunked when Keyes tried to peddle it during the Senate race.
Yes I did listen, but did you read the link I provided?
