Is anyone else confused as to how these homeless people are able to register to vote when they don't have any ID?

<legal citizens to have a right to vote, but at the same time there needs to be some control, it needs to be done right.>>

Then your issue isn't with those women or the homeless people;

In Michigan, at least in my precinct, you have to show ID to vote.

not according to this very thread ...

in any event I have no issues with anyone gathering up the homeless, sick, elderly, other people with no means, and helping them to register to vote or taking them to vote.

We don't have to show ID to vote in Las Vegas, but we do have to sign a register (which also contains our signature from when we originally registered) so that there is a comparison.

There is no id required to vote in my community, just a signature. I did have to provide proof of residence when I registered.

Where I live in Indiana...there have been commercials running for a bit now before the cutoff for registration( which was today) saying that if you came to the DMV...no matter if you were homeless or whatever..they would give you a free ID and register you to vote ( providing you of corse ahve the right documents) ...plus tell you where you can vote in whichever presinct. This was not paid for by any camp..but rather the state of Indiana...to encourage

The Time article tells the story nicely...but I don't care much for the slant..but there is the info.
