Obama the tax shifter, not tax cutter

When Ed Rendell became governor of Pennsylvania, he promised tax cuts very similar to what Obama promises. What he gave Pennsylvanians was a tax shift. While he cut the state's income tax, he also raised taxes in other categories to make up the difference in state revenues. What Pennsylvania ended up with was a tax cut con. Pennsylvanians ended up with tax increases instead of a tax cut. Obama is going to do the same thing Rendell has done. Obama will certainly increase other taxes, which means we won't be getting a tax cut, but a tax shift.
The bottom line is this: Whenever a Democrat promises to give you a tax cut, they're actually giving you a tax shift, which overall amounts to a tax increase. It's kind of like political bait and switch. Obama is just a con man.
Why does Obama want to keep the Bush tax cuts if his tax cuts are better?
Obama would reinstitute the windfall profits tax, which almost bankrupted the oil industry back in the 1980's. Congress repealed it in 1988 because of that.
Obama wants to reintroduce the capital gains tax, not quite qt the 28% level previously stated, but somewhere between 20% and 28% according to Obama.
Obama wants to raise social security taxes.

Obama's policies stink, and calling him BO man is a way of driving that point home. You seem to forget that 35% of taxpayers don't pay taxes. Giving them a tax cut is a moot point. That leaves 60%. What Obama is proposing is not really a tax cut, but an increase in the exemption amount. Yet he calls it a tax cut. To offset this alleged tax cut, Obama has also proposed tax increases in corporate, Capital gains, windfall profits, and social security payroll taxes. His proposals will not amount to squat. You'll get a few extra pennies back, plus a $1,000 stimulus check, but you'll be paying way more for goods and services because of Obama's tax increases. Obama's tax plan amounts to political bait and switch. It's not a real tax cut, it's a tax shift. When taxes are cut, they're not raised anywhere else. But Obama plans on raising taxes elsewhere to make up for the alleged tax cut he says he's giving you. All the links I've posted to various article spell it out as plain as day. Obama is lying when he says he's giving you a tax cut.
Actually no money is taken out of our pay. After the first year we didn't owe we had my husband's employer stop taking money out of his check. We truely pay $0 Federal Income Tax. I am almost 40 and for most of my adult life we have paid Federal Income Tax so I know how it works with deducting from your paycheck, etc. Of course Social Security taxes are still taken. I think we have owed $0 Federal Income Tax for 5 years. For us it is because of the Child Tax Credit, the tax credits add up to more than our taxes due. When we made twice as much money and had less than half the kids we do now we paid of course.
As to the rich, it is just my opinion that any progressive tax system is unfair, and ours is already progressive as it stands now.
>>Read the book, and get educated.<<
Why?
>>Obama's policies stink, and calling him BO man is a way of driving that point home.<<
You may believe that to be the case, but as several people are clearly telling you that, on this board, using that terminology only serves to make you appear less credible.
I wonder what ever happened to leisar2000.

So, your way of pointing out lies is to either purposely give misleading and false information like (and this is a quote) "Our economy stands on the edge of a knife, and the BO man will destroy it for sure, just as FDR destroyed it and pushed us into the great depression with his New Deal."
It was brought to your attention that this is not factual information which you kept claiming it was factual.
