If I were to write (a very uninteresting) biography, it would talk about how greatly my grandparents influenced me. They were complete bigots, but they did have their virtues - and they loved me and supported me in some pretty bleak times. I know people who would call me a racist for tolerating their racism and other forms of their bigotry.
Ayers is now a respected member of the community who apparently knows how to get things done the legal way. Obama needs people around him who know how to get things done the legal way.
Again, Rezko shows poor judgment. There's no reason to think Obama was in on it, but he ought to know better than to trust a Greek (or a Syrian) bearing gifts.
My state legalized gay marriage in May.
A very long while. We heard it when we (the citizens) gave them black folks the right to vote, and we heard it when we gave people of your gender the right to vote, and we heard when we decided to give a minimum wage to all the lazy people in the country, and also when we decided on clear air standards, and what have you. It's all a commie plot, we're doomed, DOOMED i TELL YOU!
we must be related: i had the same grandparents!
and i am still confused about way the fundamental concept of personal change can be applied to McCain but not to Ayers.
and if guilt by association is so important, why are we not concerned about the association of Palin with members of an organization that supports Alaskan secession from the US? Founded by the man who said "I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her damned institutions." Association meaning married to a member from 1995-2002 -- not just meeting in his living room.
if association counts in one story, it should count in the other.

Why the drama you ask???
because Ayers held the first fundraiser for Obama at his home.
Well Bush raised the national debt to historic proportions - that doesn't make me feel comfortable. McCain has a penchant for choosing women who were models/former beauty queens that does not make me feel comfortable especially since there were far more qualified, but less attractive? women for the job of vp. Palin claims to be against earmarks after taking more per captia earmarks than any other state in the union - that makes me uncomfortable. Palin was for the Bridge to Nowhere before she was against it (can you say flip flop) that makes me uncomfortable. Palin kept the money set aside for the Bridge to Nowhere and instead built a Road to Nowhere - that makes me feel uncomfortable. So instead of telling the government 'no thanks' she really said 'thanks for the money now we are going to do something pretty silly with it that will be utterly useless" that makes me uncomfortable.
S0 really many people are uncomfortable with the choices this year - why do you think you get to be any different?
And can you imagine the furor if it came out that Michelle belonged to an association of former Weathermen and Obama had attended several of their conventions and spoken at one claiming he shared their ideals?
Someone could ask her about that association if the party were allowing the press to talk to her.
My state, the marriage capital of the world, banned gay marriage.
Okay, it doesn't make you feel comfortable.

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure
