I know it is endlessly brought up how Obama is going to cut taxes for 95% of working families.

People who earn their living through capital gains.

I would be most curious to know what context those figures were being discussed.
i thought we all agreed before that LTCG are a good thing
they offer a benefit for a good reason, and are used wisely....
yes some people are able to capitalize more than others, but i don't see that eliminating LTCG will help as much as it will hurt everyone.

<
wealth is VERY different than income, and wealth is not taxed, so fairly irrelevant.>>
The whole reason I provided the links I did was to show you that there is a cause
<>
....but it will help the economy that is stagnant because those employees make up the larger population and so do small businesses who depend on these consumers.
Saying the link is unrealizable after being provided with more than one in which you can cross check is being obtuse, please feel free to debate the facts.
i hadn't seen the second link before i said i didn't like the first, so you'll have to forgive my delay.
and besides, the second link is completely unrelated to the issue.....well, not completely unrelated, but not directly proportional, therefore should not be included in the discussion....welath is not equal to income, and income is the issue at hand.

It is because more wealth than ever is being funneled to the top and therefore they are paying more in taxes not because they are paying a higher percentage but because they are earning so much more than the general population.
WHOA! you are still missing the point!
wealth does not equal income....
had that site discussed income, it would be relevant....wealth is not
you cna' not use the 2 terms interchangably as you tried in the above statement.

Just wanted to see where you got those exact figures so I could see the context of the discussion.
