I know it is endlessly brought up how Obama is going to cut taxes for 95% of working families.

first mom, every one gets a tax cut under McCain, unlike the class warrior Obama

Second, as noted, everyone gets paid what others are willing to pay them.

mom, what you ignore is that everyone gets a tax cut.

What you are arguing for is that those who already shoulder the largest part of the tax burdern (roughly 2x what they earn) should pay even more.

Remember though that Warren Buffet is so rich he can give away more than half his wealth and still be the second richest person in the world.

For those who merely are "doing well", taxes matter.

Though I do have some LTCG, I also have rental property, and a small business. I have tax advantages many at my total income level would not if it was just earned income.

You really need to find a new source for your information. I don't know where you're getting your information but it's wrong. Read Obama's tax plan on his website for starters.

yes, and those tax advantages are there for a reason...to help people who can use the help, and to encourage people to make smart financial moves.....and...most if not all of those tax advantages vanish as you move up the income ladder....there are restrictions on deductions / credits based on income level.

IRS recently screwed up with one of my tax year filings, they claimed i made about 2X what i did make, and were seeking the taxes on that difference, and if i had made that much, i wouldn't have qualified for almost any of my itemized deductions / child credit, etc...it made a HUGE difference.

are you thinking that those tax advantages shouldn't be available to you? (to get back to the original point)
