I understand there are much more interesting, more pressing topics here. I lurk mostly. Otherwise you all would have to read a daily diatribe by me against Bush's obvious, determined and knowing bungling of 9/11.

But really now ~ Osama bin Laden as humanitarian and helper of the poor in the ongoing floods in Pakistan?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101001/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_bin_laden_tape

Bush wanted mass murderer Osama bin Laden to go free. We all get that. This tall, overgrown man living among shorter tribesmen, has acromegaly, and requires dialysis. He's filmed, recorded, photographed, known.

But now even Obama, ineffectuall and crossing his fingers as his method of getting re-elected, is allowing this mass murderer to have a voice and public support as humanitarian!

Oh, well. The Situation is on Dancing with the Stars, so who cares about actual news, right?

I'm not sure I understand you. Are you saying that Obama is "allowing" binLaden to make this announcement? If so, how can he prevent binLaden from making this announcement? I rather suspect that the forces behind the release of this announcement didn't call the WH first and ask permission.

The opportunity to capture Osama bin Laden was Bush's opportunity and his alone. Bush chose not to go after Osama bin Laden.

And I find it interesting that, because of Bush's choice to give a mass murderer his freedom, bin Laden has the cajones to publicly voice his being a humanitarian. C'est la vie. And many, many thanks to Bush that this lunatic has such freedoms. :)

I'm reminded of something DH says to the girls..."Thank you, Captain Random." :-)

LOL, same here, although I did not bother googling. Since you are now enlightened, what is "The Situation"?
