The thing is, Karen, is that I've understood your point of view from the beginning.

"what on earth will you do when you lose your job? you have been looking for work elsewhere for when the small business you work for closes, right? "

And under Obama, they are going to face tax penalties for seeking cheap labor in other countries, so they may just decide to hire locally after all.

"But I do believe that not everything you are afraid of shall come to pass and you may find you actually like life under an Obama administration.

Can we hold you to that?

I do like change, just not when it affects me in a bad way.

Who does?

If any of you could be losing your job, would you not have a little attitude?

Maybe you should be asking the people who have already lost their jobs because of this crappy economy. I'm sure they have some attitude, and I'd bet a good portion of them are voting for Obama.

Would it upset you if you knew, that within a year, you could be living in an apartment instead of a home

I live in an apartment and I can tell you that it's definitely my home. But I know what you mean, so I won't harp on that issue. While I think you are seriously painting a doomsday scenario, lots of people have already lost their houses and their jobs without having Obama be President. How do you rectify that in your brain?

It's hard to imagine that everything I've worked for could be gone with just a vote.

It's hard for me to imagine all the money we are putting into social security won't be there for us when we retire. That sucks, but it's a reality.

Please try to put yourself in my shoes and maybe you'll understand my POV.
