First of all...it is about damned time.
Query? How will this affect the US now? How will this affect the political climate?

"Resist, we much. We must, and we much. About that, be committed."
Bush committed more "assaults on our freedoms" than Obama has.
It's almost like we live in a different country...........

*** A little bounce in our step might not be such a bad thing right now. Goodness knows we didn't get any from the last administration.
*** Iraq did comply, and no wpm were found afterwards.
Calling our soldiers liars?

Really, he is the one responsible for our crappy economy? Tell me, what was the economy like on 20 January, 2009?

We had plenty of reason to go into Iraq, there was a long lead up to the war, Iraq was given every opportunity to comply and avoid the conflict, and I'm glad we backed up our words to get rid of Hussein (not Barack, the other one). History will be much nicer to GW Bush than to Obama, and rightly so. I'm sure socialist and marxists in this country feel much better about the assault on our freedoms in addition to the malaise the Obama has perpetrated on us.
So a nation that was neutralised by no fly zones was a threat to the US? If it was a threat to us, why... how about to Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey, Jordan, Syria... to name some of its neighbours? Why didn't they feel the need to attack?
Look at GWB's record... Iraq war, bad move. Tax cut, dumb move that Obama now has to try to cope with. Obama has gotten health care reform passed, repealed DADT, gotten the START treaty through Congress, bagged bin Laden, disengaged from Iraq... history will judge there is no comparison. Obama's track record may be better than any president in my lifetime, and that begins with Eisenhower.
