First of all...it is about damned time.

Query? How will this affect the US now? How will this affect the political climate?

Jabber; Yes I am using my iPhone, quite honestly the set up on the full site versus the mobile gives me such a headache I won't even visit that way anymore. The ads load slowly and make what I'm reading jump down every 30 seconds or so. I tried reading on my netbook but the shifting text makes it virtually impossible to follow a line of thought. :-/

To be honest I'm not really a big fan of the whole waterboarding concept. Moral implications aside, torture anyone enough and they'll talk. Will they give up good information or just string some random concepts together to be left alone? We don't know, so because of that alone I see little use in it. Add in the moral dilemma and I'd rather we didn't go there.

The line you've quoted, and I quoted in my first response, followed down from discussing the waterboarding of one person in particular, jumped to the Iraq invasion, tied in torture from SH and company and then called it hypocrisy. I just wondered if there was any reason you were equated what SH did to countless innocents to the waterboarding of the terrorist you mentioned before the departure to GWB. Curiosity is all.

Now I'm going to complain to iv that their "new and improved" mobile site is worse than using the full site to post from my phone pre-upgrade. I hate when people can't leave well enough alone.

Sam, I can post/read fine, it's following who the posts are to/from where the issue lies. It isn't the phone, it's iv's mobile site.

Yes, yes, and yes. And I am surprised at all who want to take away Obama's credit in the killing of OBL, by any minute and ridiculous argument they can come up with.

<< If my point is ambiguous, I'll be clear for you: under no circumstances is torture acceptable. >> Absolutely.

@all: CMErin has let me know that any posts made using the mobile site will be in reply to the OP and there is no way to post to a particular other poster. Guess I won't be bothering with the debate boards unless that gets fixed. Back to lurking. :-/

Like another poster said, you can just type who your post is to. For example... "Hey Cat.Alley, (text follows)"

@cat, Of course I could but I still wouldn't know who is posting to who otherwise. It's all good, lurking is entertaining enough. ;-)

@ohearto, I tried from my laptop again last night just to see. Between the jumping text, the glaring all white background and the load time I won't be doing that again soon. At least it made me realize my photo was a few months old. ;-)
