I'd really like the Obama campaign to start discussing her

Have you ever noticed how little dogs will bark with ferocity, even though they could get squashed?

yes but think about what happens when the big dog leaves the chihuahua behind.

I don't see good things for Palin if they don't win. Especially now that they sent her on the attack.

I think if she continues to do a good job in Alaska (which many believe she is doing), then she'll be fine.

not sure I want Obama to lower himself to this desperation that the REPs are showing.

I know what you mean, but turning the other cheek hasn't worked in past elections (as someone recently pointed out).

If they lose, I think Palin's going to have a lot more trouble getting bi-partisan cooperation in Alaska. A pre-debate NYTimes editorial had questions from a whole bunch of people on what they'd love to see the VP candidates asked. One of them was from a Democrat representative in the Alaska state legislature asking Palin what cooperation she possibly expects in Alaska (or the national Congress if they win) from Democrats given her very personal ridicule of the character and beliefs of many in the party. I wonder if she hasn't burned some serious bridges.

Yes I know what you mean however I would think this fight could be fought by the media and Obama/Biden could just focus on their message.

did you notice this part in the article?

When Kristol pressed Palin about Wright, she replied, "I don't know why that association isn't discussed more, because those were appalling things that that pastor had said about our great country."

She continued, "To me, that does say something about character. But, you know, I guess that would be a John McCain call on whether he wants to bring that up."

So what I wonder is ... did she bring it up, did the interviewer?

seriously - i don't think it's her own views. i mean, they are her own views but i think the campaign gave her the green light on talking about Ayers and Wright. let the little lady handle it so McCain can keep his hands clean.

and i think she is playing a dangerous game. if it fails, she will be known as a shrew, an attack dog, and someone who is happy to sling mud but annoyed by policy questions. i don't see her gaining much political currency from that on either side.

ever hear from Dan Quayle again? didn't see him in the presidential primaries. and his team even won - once.
