Be careful about Chantix...google it, I can't remember exactly what the side effect was, but it wasn't good.

Well congrats! I always wanted twins...til I popped out just ONE little guy...one at a time's enough for me! :)

Yes I read up on the Chantix and talked in depth about it with my dr. before finally deciding to give it a try.

I've gotta throw in my 2cents as well on this...I wasn't going to share my personal story b/c while I do agree with the government healthcare programs that are in place for those who need it, I do agree more emphasis should be placed on providing better service and products to those individuals rather than, as you said, expanding a plan that needs more reform than expansion.

From my own personal experience with Medicaid, which I was on when I was pregnant (I was in college waiting tables, as was XH, we were irresponsible, got pregnant quickly and immediately got married). Neither of us had a college degree and neither of us were in a position to be able to afford healthcare, especially after I was already pregnant. We both continued working - he got a better job (but didn't provide insurance right away as a lot of employers don't).

"...these programs ARE offered for low income families"
It depends. In some places a person has to make under a certain amount. If you make more than that, even if you can't afford insurance after rent, etc., you don't get it.

Yes that is true - and that is why there are other programs out there for rent assistance through invidual local governments, cities, towns, etc.
