So what do you think?
Stein says that as mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. "She asked the library how she could go about banning books," he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. "The librarian was aghast." That woman, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving "full support" to the mayor.

If that is the reason why she isn't discussing it, then she just has to say that it is against Alaska law to discuss personnel issues.
Here's the site I found with the most "inline" view to what I know of Gov. Palin here in Alaska. The claims are backed up with very "news worthy" organizations, no political blogs, etc. and line up with what I have heard through our own local news. Not just the librarian thing here, but it's all good information.

oops, kept reading and their are a few blogs in there (sorry), but for the most part pretty on target. In case you are wondering, about the "Bridge to Nowhere" and I wish she wouldn't have brought this up because it's not "her finest hour". The funds which we eventually received were sent directly to our transportation budget with the express understanding that they would not be used for bridges. So, by the time Gov. Palin got the money she had no choice but to not build the bridge, unless she wanted to use other state funds.
And, in the full disclosure thing... I like Gov. Palin, but I do not know if I am voting for her. I'm not a McCain fan.. way too liberal for me. As you can probably guess, I'm not voting for Obama either and may be forced to do a write in.
That's awesome, Kate!
