We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.

Thanks for clarifying Politico. Since most sources are accused of bias, i thought it was best to admit to the possibility up front.

LOL I have no idea how much other people spend on clothes. I'm shopping at Target and occasionally the sale rack at the Loft. But i hope she wasn't naked in Alaska. Even in August that could be chilly.

Here's an interesting video on her supposed "fiscal conservatism" and wasteful spending in Wasilla as mayor -

http://www.wasillaproject.com/

Now tell me - isn't this exactly the kind of thing she and John McCain are claiming they will clean up in Washington?

although i do not think of Palin specifically, I do think of the French Revolution frequently when we are discussing the economic disparity in this country.

ITA - I have no problem with the clothes, etc from the RNC. They are campaigning and are doing what it takes to make their candidate look her best. The spending taxpayer money on her family is what I also take issue with. The citizens of Alaska do not contribute money voluntarily, as contributers to the RNC do. Furthermore, it seems like some shady shenanigans for a "fiscal conservative".

Allow me a moment to roll my eyes, here.

Speaking from Palin's Anchorage office, Leighow said Palin dealt with the plane and also trimmed other expenses, including forgoing a chef in the governor's mansion because she preferred to cook for her family. The first family's travel is an expected part of the job, she said.

"As a matter of protocol, the governor and the first family are expected to attend community events across the state," she said. "It's absolutely reasonable that the first family participates in community events."

We ask our government officials to travel...a lot...it's expected.

Except the articles discussing this spending say that the folks putting on events were surprised to see her bring her children.
