We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.

I'd say Alaska got a bargain. She had access to a private plane that the previous governor bought on which her kids could have traveled for no additional cost. She sold that plane for $2.1 million and her kids have only racked up $21,000 in travel. Not a bad deal for Alaska I'd say.

McCain released 1000 pages of medical records, Biden released 49 pages of medical records, Obama released a 276 word one page summary from his doctor.

And I recently heard that Sarah Palin is going to release her medical records as well.

What's in Obama's medical records that he wants to hide?

Will you also wag your fingers against Mrs. Obama's traveling to five different states this week, to support her husband's campaign?

The Obama campaign is welcome to pay for whatever they wish to pay for.

The taxpayers are not paying for the Obama campaign expenses.

"We ask our government officials to travel...a lot...it's expected"

I agree government officials are often asked to travel. They are not often asked or expected to bring thier families. Depending on the postion in the governement they may actually be prohibited from bringing family mambers on the governments dime, other positions encourage it. Govenor Palin was not even asked to attend at least one of the events that is mentioned in the article. Her children were not invited to most of them. For most of the events mentioned in the article she either called to see if she could bring a child (rather rude IMO because really whos going to say no to the govenor even if the child is an imposition), or she just showed up with the children unannounced and expected them to accomidate her.

She got elected to govenor with one of her camapign promises being she would sell the private plane. She didn't sell it out of the kindness of her heart for the citizens of Alaska, it simply would have looked bad for her to go back on a campaign promise after making stuch a stink over the plane in the first place.

She sold the plane at a rather large loss. Not much of a bargin for the state afterall. The previous govenor didn't rack up hotel or travel expenses for his kids in the name of official government buisness so why did she need to? He didn't even feel the need to take his children in an unofficial capasity to most any of the things he had to travel to as govenor for eight years.

Was a hotel room at nearly 800.00 a night for four nights and five days
