I understand where you're coming from, it's hard for a lot of people to understand population control in regards to wildlife.

not to mention dangerous to the driver and destructive to your car.

i understand the need for management or both predators and prey. i understand this is up to the wildlife management agencies - and that vote or not, the agency was going to be killing predators. but in this case, i don't think the agency supported the use of local hunters who were not "trained" or supervised to engage in this particular practice since it could be inhumane. and was inhumane in the video shown.

i have to go back to the article and don't have time this morning.

You know I probably have no right to say anything about this video, since I can't watch it.

the whole reward statement IS a tributary of her character, but I am not a hunter , in no-way-shape-or-form......I would dig roots for my family as I am well aware of my capabilities to kill........if I ever was the cause of an animal writhing in pain, such as in the video, I'd probably jump out of the plane to try to help it........we as mothers just should not have a 'killing' instinct.......we give birth, nurse, and nourish our babies in a way that hopefully they will grow into responsible adults, and love one another, and all who inhabit our earth........I myself, will never forget the video, and I wish I had never viewed it........let there be peace, and let it begin with me

the 'reward' IS a tributary of her character........I know where my limits end, and I would dig roots to feed my family.......I would be the one in the news jumping out of the plane to help the wolf.........we as mothers, give birth, nurse, and nourish our young in hopes they will grow into responsible adults, who love others, our world and all that inhabit it........as for myself, I wish I had never viewed the video.......it will always stay with me.........Palin states she should have the right to kill animals for food for her children, and without my inner-sensor turned on, into my mind pops.....'what the @#^**, does she think we are still in the stone age'?????.........what I thought she might bring to the table as vp, has vastly changed, and it may change again.......I doubt it, but stranger things have happened........let there be peace, and let it begin with me......

Oldmama11, yes, that is my house, and yes, it is beautiful, although sometimes we take it for granted. This weekend my husband was outside in the front fussing about having to rake up all the leaves from the birch trees and he was wondering why we had to buy a house in a forest, LOL. We have a lake down the road and one mama moose who lives close by walks up my driveway from time to time with her current baby by her side (we walk out on our balconies and talk to them- she probably thinks we're all nuts). I'm sure you'd like it here during the summer when it's so beautiful, winter is pretty rough, lows of -40 aren't uncommon and we have to plug our cars in to keep them from freezing up. The worst of the winter is when you only get 2 hours of sunlight, it can be downright depressing right around Christmas, but then I guess it's good when you can fully appreciate the twinkling lights through out the entire day, LOL.

Veronica - I can sympathize with the falling leaves and wildlife.
