Palin on SNL tomorrow

So what do you think about Palin making an appearance on SNL tomorrow night? I think it's a cute idea and probably good for the campaign but it bothers me a bit. She'll go on SNL but she'll barely do any interviews?! Joe the plumber has done more interviews than her!

I think it will be amusing but what is the point?

Just as I did Hilary, I have to admire someone willing to face the people (and viewers who watched) who made such fun of her.

I think it can only help McCain/Palin.

I didn't say she's turned down interviews, I said she's barely done any interviews.

I'm glad you posted that it's tomorrow. The last I read was it was the 25th. Now I won't miss it. I like it when politicians do more "light" things sometimes. Yes, politics is serious, but we all need to laugh.

but 'why' is important don't you think?

maybe some invites conflicted with other speaking engagements?

maybe some didn't ask?

maybe she felt speeches, debates, rallies were more important?

it's very easy to say someone didn't do something ... w/o caring/wondering why isn't it?

She really can't win -- if she didn't do SNL ... she was too chicken or held a grudge, if she does SNL she should have done interviews instead.

funny ;-)

That's your thought, not mine. I don't care whether she does SNL or not, that's up to her. But I do wish that she had done more interviews. We can specualte as to why she hasn't done more b/c like you said, maybe they conflicted with her schedule or maybe she didn't think they were that important or she wasn't asked....or maybe she's scared to do them,

Also - according to Ben Porritt, the McCain campaign's spokesmen, they get 80-100 requests a day from news organizations around the world requesting interviews with Palin. Out of all those requests, how many interviews has she actually done? Do you really think that out of 80-100 requests a day she can't fit in a few interviews here and there? McCain, Obama, and Biden all find the time for interviews. That makes me think that maybe the other reasons I listed are actually more likely.

I will have to do more research, but the McCain/Palin campaign turned down an interview for Palin on the night of the last debate. There are at least 5 others that I can recall but will look them up before I list them in case I am in error. She does the townhalls but
