Once again Sarah Palin demonstrates she does not know what the VP actually does.

No even though she would be fine as VP, since they do not much, I would never want to take the chance of her becoming president.

Biden did not say that the VP only presides over the Senate when there is a tie vote; he said he only votes when their is a tie vote.

Do you realize that she was answering a question asked by a 3rd grader? She answered in terms a 3rd grader would understand.

Shouldn't we be more concerned about Joe Biden's comment of impending international crisis if Obama is elected? And shouldn't we be concerned that Joe Biden doesn't think that Obama will make the right decision in that crisis?

<

And then you quoted: "The Constitution on this point is very straightforward: “The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided.”

So, which is it? Because you're contradicting yourself.>>

There is no contradiction here. The VP presides over the Senate. The VP only votes when there is a tie. Presiding and voting are two separate things.

A 3rd grader would usually have more of an understanding of Civics that Palin, apparently.

Sarah says:

"A vice president has a really great job because not only are they there to support the president's agenda, they're there like the team member, the teammate to the president," Palin continued. “But also, they're in charge of the United States Senate, so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom. And it's a great job and I look forward to having that job.”

Article I of the Constitution:

"The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no vote, unless they be equally divided."

She was trying to be enthusiastic. It's a pretty boring job. I am puzzled why this is making such big news. Biden screwed it up in the debate...and you don't hear anyone taking about that.
