>>so Republicans are supposed to be perfect....with perfect families!?!? <<
Perhaps if so many of them didn't have such a holier-than-thou attitude towards anyone that doesn't share their belief system, this wouldn't be biting them in the butt right now.
>>>What's galling is this: When the subject is a pregnancy to an unwed, minority teenage mother growing up in some (presumably Democratic) urban area, that pregnancy becomes fodder for lectures from conservatives about bad parenting, the perils of welfare spending and so on. But when the subject is a pregnancy to an unwed, white teenager from some small town in a Republican state, that pregnancy is...a celebration of the wonders of God's magnificence--and choosing life!<<<
>>Oh and he didn't say that paying $12 a gal would cut down on emissions, and also cut down on traffic? And he didn't say that we will all have to make sacrifices <<
I think that it is bringing some issues that we need to talk about into the spotlight......teen pregnancy has been an issue of late.....maybe it will bring more discussion and maybe even solutions to the problem.....or at least make a teen think twice.
"... DONE then you can find about what Obama has "done" rather then said." Not everything that someone else views as a 'reform' is necessarily something I would call a reform. The relevance of Palin's 17 yo daughter being pregnant, if it's true, is that being VP, she would have the ability to influence federal government to mandate the religious policies which have apparently worked so well for her in her personal life.
This would not be entirely bothersome to me, if we were dealing with people who made experienced judgements based on a careful examination of available evidence, and who have - in short - demonstrated an ability to learn from error.

She sold a jet and now spends a great deal of taxpayer paid time driving from one place to another in her very large state.
