If we could come up with all the answers to this complex issue, we would be running for jobs in Washington.

Here are the SSI recipient statistics. Please note that there are 6,987,845 people receiving SSI. In Ohio Walmart statistics show 12,184 workers and dependents, who receive medicaid (Some of these may not be disabled but very low income). There are 245,532 SSI recipients in the state Walmart does not make a dent.

The disabled on SSI, people such as Sarah Palin's Downs syndrome baby are not employable. Her Downs syndronm child at age 18 or 22 (if he live that long) will be on SSI. Children with Downs have a lot of medical problems and don't live long lives. Children come off of their parents health insurance usually around age 18, this is when SSI comes into play.

I must say it is always nice to see the opinions of the compassionate conservatives and how unwilling they are to provide for the needy. What lovely people you are.

I was just wondering also, since you have such definite ideas on what you would do if this was your daughter, do you have a daughter?

No, I don't have daughters but I have a sister who was in a similar situation. We did find someone who helped her get an abortion, it was illegal back then.

"She was raised Pentacostal"

No, she was baptized catholic...then was raised non denominational...which is the church she attends now.

What church is non-denominational? Churches with out affiliations have got to be pretty questionable.

If it were my husband that got someone else pregnant, the fate of the pregnancy would not be my concern since he would be out of here to deal with his own mess.

As to a son, which I have, I would most definitely feel the same.
