When I am choosing who to support with my vote, I do get to judge their life choices. I don't get to limit them but I do get to judge them.

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure

Anyone disturbed at all that the 17 y.o. is getting MARRIED to the father?

Personally (and I am no where near a conservative, lol) I think it's great they are getting married. If you are going to do adult things like have babies then you owe it to the baby to at least try being married and having the parents together, but that is just my humble opinion (ducking to avoid anything thrown at me).

Abstinence-only educators

Both Sarah Palin and John McCain back abstinence-only education. No surprises there.

What's galling is this: When the subject is a pregnancy to an unwed, minority teenage mother growing up in some (presumably Democratic) urban area, that pregnancy becomes fodder for lectures from conservatives about bad parenting, the perils of welfare spending and so on. But when the subject is a pregnancy to an unwed, white teenager from some small town in a Republican state, that pregnancy is...a celebration of the wonders of God's magnificence--and choosing life!

What does this say about the Obama camp for exploiting this poor 17 yo girl? And besides that, these are kids for crying out loud! Leave them out of this. I do not like it when people no matter what party, exploit the kids of their oponents. What kind of person would do this to a young girl? She already has a hard enough time ahead of her just being 17 and pregnant but then to have the whole country passing judgement on her? I hated it when the press followed Chelsi Clinton all over school and everywhere just to get a picture of her sitting in a coffee shop studying. The kids of these politicians do not make any diplomatic decisions, so why should we care what they are doing? Really, why?? I am sure we ALL did things as a teen that if our parents saw or heard, they would not be happy. That is what teens do. Some expeirement with drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, peircings, tattoos, and yes even sex. And there are a few who do absolutely nothing but maybe say a curse word, accidently. I am sure we would all prefer to raise the latter, but really how often does that happen. It is just unfortunate that these poor kids are in the spotlight.

Also, as a conservative, this does NOT turn me away from the McCain/Palin ticket. I mean honestly, what family has not gone through something like this. And just because Palin is a mother and a wife doesn't mean anything negative to me. Who are we to say whether or not she can handle this. Only her and her dh should make that decision. Their are several women with special needs kids who work full time and even more than full time jobs. And saying that she should step down because she is a mother of 5 and one of them a special needs child is just a step down for women. What a contradiction we are seeing from liberals and democrats?? The same people who said that conservatives and republicans wouldn't vote for Hillary just because she is a woman. The same people who were angry because Obama didn't choose Hillary as VP, just because she is a woman. Now we shouldn't have Palin as a VP because she is a mother?? Nonsence! And YES, I do think that Palin was

The only person thrusting this poor 17 year old girl into the spotlight is the woman who chose to run for VP knowing she'd be thrust there.

No need to duck! I agree they should work together to raise this baby, I just don't think they need to be married to do so. I'm not saying they can't be engaged, but I think getting married for this reason at this age is a recipe for disaster. Heck, they aren't even old enough to vote for the grandmother in this election!

What did she reform? Really. For one, as soon as she became govonor she sold the fancy private jet that the previous gov. purhased and she turned a profit. She cut taxes, for the entire state, she stepped out of all political lines and said to open ANWR.

And, no it was not her mother that spread this all over the news, it was the media and the Obama camp ie:CBS, ABC, NBC.

"What is says is that I'm able to read more than exceprts and headlines and snippets out of context.

Being President has even more responsibilities, meetings, etc. then VP,so Obama should put his daughters first and quit his bid.

You are really stretching to reach that conclusion - but just so you know, the world is round, not flat.
