WESTON, Wisconsin (AP) -- Two parents who prayed as their 11-year-old daughter died of untreated diabetes were charged Monday with second-degree reckless homicide.

D.A. Jill Falstad announces charges against parents who didn't seek medical attention for a diabetic child.

Faith instead of reason is frightening, no matter what the faith.

I believe in faith...but I also believe that medical miracles were created for a reason!

I know people who believe that praying IS doing the very best thing that is possible. God is the Great Healer. He created us. He decides who lives and who dies. Ultimately, it is His decision.

Doctors have the knowledge to save lots of people from lots of things, but they can't always do so. And that is because they are not lifegivers like God.

Doctors are not God. Life and Death is up to God. Our culture has replaced our faith in God with faith in medicine. While many people can combine their beliefs, others cannot; for them their belief in faith healing is all or nothing. That should be their right.

Those parents were not negligent, and I am sure it will be proven they weren't. They truly believed they were doing the right thing for their daughter. They weren't trying to abuse her.

I believe the charges will be dropped once the media and all the do-gooders get bored with the proceedings.

So you don't believe there are any limits to what folks can do in the name of religion, as long as their beliefs as sincere? How horrible.

These wing-nuts sacrifced their child for their religious beliefs, and that simply isn't legal in this nation, thank goodness.
