I realize a lot of us are hurting. I don't consider you filthy rich from what you have been saying. A lot of us have lost a ton of money from our investments. My Dh has lost 60,000 from his 401k. I have lost about ALL of the interest I gained in the last 3 years on my 403B from when I worked. I have used a lot of my small inheritance from my step-mom to help my sons out and my grandson. This is why I am not upset or jealous of the "average" wealthy or shall

Studies pretty much show that nobody ever thinks they're rich. You could ask someone who makes $50,000 how much they have to make to be rich and they may answer $250,000. You can ask the person making $250,000 and they're more apt to say 2,000,000. The person making 2,000,000 would say 5,000.000 and so on.

The idea is a matter of fundamental fairness--that so few should have to shoulder so much of the burden and always be the target of even more increases.

It wouldn't be so bad if everyone paid something--no matter how small and everyone received a break--no matter how small. Then we could really say we're in it together. As it stands now it's just a politically created class war.
