"It wouldn't be so bad if everyone paid something--no matter how small and everyone received a break--no matter how small. Then we could really say we're in it together. As it stands now it's just a politically created class war."

Huh? 200 is an average price for a suit. A two hundred dollar suit is a normal price. I know, you don't go out and buy a suit with your hubby,LOL. Now a sport coat and pants, may cost less than 200.00. My Dh usually spends 35.00 on pants and maybe 75-125 for a sport coat. I'm sure that the really wealthy men wear 1,000 suits and upwards from that. Tailor made just for them. One of my girlfriends husbands only bought Gucci shoes. Back then they were 70 dollars a clip. He had several pairs. Back in the 70's that was a lot of money! But he came from a well-to-do family. My girlfriend and he were all set to move to Tennessee, she didn't want to but he did because of a lower cost of living. they live in the most exxpensive area of PA. there home WAS worth maybe 800,000, now they would be lucky to get 500,000 for it.

I have to say, when I was working, my money

that was my point, Because of what he does and who he is calling on his suits need to be top of the line....much more than the average $200.00 suit.

I agree with both of you. It's hard for most right now. I don't think anyone is excited about the current financial climate.

Also I agree with what you said about people never feeling rich.

Well, I'm glad that it was clear to you, but I'm not perfect and thought you meant an ongoing (ie. monthly) pledge, so I asked.

I've explained the last part of my post.
