Pray....
32
Tue, 11-04-2008 - 11:10am

I "lifted" this from http://www.presidentialprayerteam.org. No matter what, God is in control.

TODAY IS ELECTION DAY--REMEMBER TO PRAY AND VOTE!
Pray for great blessing and joy for President and Mrs. Bush today as today they celebrate her birthday with a small group of friends at the White House and watch election returns together, asking God to encourage and strengthen them continuously. Pray for joy also, as tomorrow is their 31st wedding anniversary...

Pray for Senator Barack Obama and his loved ones as his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham,

"It's time to put the election behind us and the country in front of us. Barack Obama wasn't my choice, but come January 20th, he will be MY President.... I will not seek to see all

"The replies certainly seem to validate the studies that show those who are left leaning are more hate filled"

I don't think you are making a proper correlation.

Did I respond to you directly? If so it wasn't intentional. I thought I responded to the OP directly. I was speaking to the thoughtless denigrating comments directed at the Bush family celebrating their birthday/anniversary.

I have to correct myself and say that the studies show year after year that conservatives are as a group happier than those who are liberal/democrat. Secular liberals are the most miserable of all (as a group). So change the word "hateful" to "unhappy". It's all seems to have to do with the general attitudes of the different groups.

I must also correct myself by saying the more radical the happier--not the opposite. I had it backwards.

Lots of easy to find data. Search on "conservatives happy" or "who is happier conservatives or liberals" or "doomacrats and republigrins" or "happiness gap".

You did not respond directly, but as I was one of the people who mentioned not praying for Bush's birthday, I knew you were meaning me. Your reply shows that I was correct in that assumption.

Again, where were these "thoughtless" comments? I have every right to say that, although I don't pray for anything, I most certainly would not pray for someone's birthday. How is that "thoughtless." I can assure you that I thought about it before I typed it. Why you think that's a hateful thing to say is beyond me and frankly, I don't need your judgment.

Sorry, but that's not how debates work. If you make a statement, especially one where you are supposedly citing a study or a source, it is your responsibility to back that up when asked. It is not my job to find data to support your assertions.

Matthew McConaughey is such a cutie. He's from a little town not too far away from me. I read once in a local interview that he doesn't wear antiperspirant/deodorant. Now everytime I watch him in a movie where he's sweating and he's hugging his co-star -

I hope everyone can get something from it.

I agree 100%, not just people on the board but those in my family who are far left.

Everyone is deserving of prayer. I try to leave the judging to God, although I'll admit sometimes it's HARD! But He judges so much more effectively than I.

And I've witnessed the direct opposite.

We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.
