"An aide to Barack Obama says the candidate misspoke on Memorial Day when he told a group of veterans that his uncle was among the American troops who liberated the Auschwitz concentration camp.
In fact, Obama's great uncle took part in the liberation of one of the concentration camps at Buchenwald, spokesman Bill Burton said this afternoon.
"Yesterday he mistakenly referred to Auschwitz instead of Buchenwald in telling of his personal experience of a soldier in his family who served heroically," Burton said.
Obama made the mistake while speaking to veterans in Las Cruces, N.M., as he told of members of his family who served in the military. "
" RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Barack Obama, caught up in the fervor of a campaign speech Tuesday, drastically overstated the Kansas tornadoes death toll, saying 10,000 had died.
The death toll was 12.
"In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died—an entire town destroyed," the Democratic presidential candidate said in a speech to 500 people packed into a sweltering Richmond art studio for a fundraiser. "

By Shailagh Murray As his political opponents heap on scorn, Sen. Barack Obama acknowledged that he chose his words poorly when describing small-town Pennsylvanians at a fundraiser on Sunday. But he didn't back off the message he had sought to convey."
And of course the famous Hillary who misspoke about going through a war zone and being shot at.....and did it multiple times and she wants us to believe that she misspoke....and it just wasn't an intentional lie.
"Makes me sort of wonder what they are really about if they have to do that much thinking before they speak"
Cute Janet!! What I meant was that, with the rigors of the campaign, pausing to collect their thoughts isn't a bad thing. As I just told my daughter, if you don't engage your brain before opening your mouth, you may end up tripping over your own tongue.

"(Later the campaign said Obama misspoke, that he meant to accuse Clinton of accusing him of a tax increase -- not a tax cut.)"

Again, careless.
I really am tired of the candidates not thinking before they speak. All of them.
I know they are tired, I know it is difficult. So stop, think, then answer.

There are many more errors that McCain has made.
