I saw a poster's blinkie that said something about how you "can't be both pro-life and pro-war".

I don't equate the two together.

I don't feel it is a blanketly true statement.

I just had to comment because I agree with most of your feelings on these issues.

~not really sure the Pl side are the ones who picked the term though~

Just as an aside:

""Pro-life" and "pro-choice" evolved as the most common self-chosen names of the two movements, one to outlaw most abortion and the other to eliminate most legislative restrictions on abortions."

~As for war, it is often needed.

It depends on what war you are talking about.

have said before what is it trully. Abortion, Death with Dignity are all issues that are private and usually between human beings and their families and Doctors, those decisions are theirs and their alone. Making decisions within their own fanilies for themselves.

How is it right to make the decision to terminate a pregnancy without consulting ALL the humans involved?

I think the killing of near 5k troops so far and hundreds of thousands of innocents and tens of thousands of insurgents/militia has gone beyond necessity and into slaughter. Yes war is sometimes necessary to keep the innocents of the world safe (IE WWI & WWII) but it's not something we should be taking as lightly as we have (Bush 2).

How many Iraqis do you suppose Saddam and his henchmen would have raped and or killed since 2003?

To reply to your comment turning it around (some ant-war/anti-death penalty but pro-choice)... I think many people do not define an early abortion as murder.

I am not a religious person but I have had this very discussion with people who do consider themselves religious. What they've basically told me is that their God is a God of justice. Capitol punishment, war, and killing in defense of yourself or others are matters of justice and "allowed" by God. Abortion cannot be justified by the bible whereas the other acts of killing I mentioned are justified in the bible.
