Do you think WOMD issue aside, that America is a safer country with Saddem in jail and 75% (or whatever the number is)

Since SH wasn't really an immediate threat to the US, I can't say if we are safer or not.

There is no doubt.

I honestly believe we are safer than before. Even if Saddam didn't pose a direct threat in attacking us, the fact that he allowed the world community to believe he had WOMD and continuously laughed off resolutions passed by the UN made him a threat. What are we saying to other hostile countries with nuclear weapons programs if we don't follow through on our resolutions (passed over several years) to a country like Iraq?

Yeah the whole SH issue really is an unknown, but my gut feeling is that Iraq is now a haven for terrorists that weren't there before (although I'm not sure if these are new terrorists or just the same ones who have moved in from other locations).

I'm sorry but I suck at quoting things directly.

ABSOLUTLEY!! Sadam is a terrorist, he trained terrorists and the world is a better place without him and his regime. I have family in the military and believe with my hole heart that Bush did the right thing by going to war. We see in the debates between him and Kerry that he seems at times to be repetative, but what people don't understand is that Bush has A LOT of top secret information that he can't talk about. Kerry stands up there and bashes Bush for taking us to war and not having enought reason to do it, but I don't believe Kerry has all the facts and won't have them because of them being confidential. I hope more people will realize that Kerry can stand up before all of us and say ANYTHING he wants to and make all the promises he can to try and win the presidency, and if he does win, he will not follow through with them. All Bush can do is stand before us and defend his position and decisions he has made, and NOT waver from them. He has NEVER changed his position on anything.

• Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney were against the Department of Homeland Security, then they were for it;

• They were against a 9/11 commission, then they were for it;

• They were going to fund No Child Left Behind, then they didn't;

• They were going to put $2 trillion of the surplus aside for Social Security, then they didn't.
