While in some ways having a black president overcame some barriers, Obama in office has exposed prejudices that have been hidden below the surface for decades now. Not all who oppose him are bigoted, but I suspected a sizeable percentage are, given what we see in the way of attacks, 'humour', etc.

*** Weird. Obama invites a U.S. citizen to the White House for a poetry thing, one that Fox News earlier said his "music is very positive," and the wingnuts have yet another freakout. It must hurt to be a wingnut being pulled around by the nose by Fox News.

Yes, a commentary on the Second Amendment is just the same as a guy supporting a cop-killer.

Considering that I specifically stated "comments" for that article in one of my posts and "the posters" in another, I don't understand why there was confusion.

I'm not surprised that there is the excuse that we don't really know who these people are when wanting to turn a blind eye to racism.

>>snip>>Former Berkeley County delegate and current Republican gubernatorial candidate Larry Faircloth said Thursday that a joke he told referring to President Obama as "Sambo" and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi as a "bimbo" was simply an attempt to "bring a little humor" to the campaign.>>
