Why do you think McCain is better and why do you think Obama wants a socialist nation?

I'm not a republican, but I'll jump in.

I see McCain as the "lesser of two evils" for a number of reasons.

Let me say this. Even before Bush was elected the first time, my DH said, "guarentee, if Bush is elected, we will be at war sometime during his presidency" My DH was exactly right. As far as Big Government, you've got to be kidding, right? This administration has grown Government by leaps and bounds, do you think if McCain wins, he will fire a lot of those faithful Republicans, many of them graduates of Pat Robertson's college? I highly doubt it. Remember Monica Goulding? I personally, do not want my DH's Health Ins benefits taxed. We pay enough as it is, 375.00 a month, with 1,000 deductables for hosp, etc. No Way McCain. What scares me the very most, is an Evangelical Bible banging Christian, who goes to "Revival" meetings. Yes, our forefathers battled for Religious Fredom, I do NOT want the Evangelicals telling me that inless I am like them I am wrong in my beliefs and I'm going to hell. No thank you! No Sarah Palin.

the2step,

havent we taken the "military" approach the past 7 years?

Yes, we have, and although we're involved in a war in Iraq, there hasn't been another terrorist attack on US soil.

Actually I'm amazed that anyone thinks that the reason we haven't had a terrorist attack on American soil is because the U.S. started a war in Iraq. Bush ignored the Clinton administration's warning that Al Quaeda should be given top priority, and then when the inevitable happened, the U.S. attacked the wrong country. The U.S. has yet to see any sort of return on that "adventure": it cost billions of dollars, it will cost billions more before it's over, more jihadists have sprung up in response to it, our relations with our allies have been compromised, Afghanistan is slipping back to Taliban control, and so forth.

LOL, I'll one-up that one... before he was elected the first time, I said, "If Bush is elected, we will end up at war with Iraq."
