Why do you think McCain is better and why do you think Obama wants a socialist nation?

The VP should be ready to step into the Presidency on day one because tomorrow is not guaranteed for any of us.

<>

MANY military members and vets are for Obama including myself & my dh. I am a proud member of Blue Star Families for Obama as evidenced in my sig. I served in the USAF, my husband recently got out of the USAF and we both have family serving in Iraq right now as well so don't tell me it's not a top priority for us just because we aren't voting for McCain.

<>

I have done over a year's worth of hard core research before & during my support of Obama. Until this election I always voted GOP with no question (I regret the last vote now). As I have said before it would be easier given my location and parents to say I support McCain HOWEVER i can't. I voted for him in 2000 in the primaries but he is not the same man and has been proving that for quite a while now. Having been in the military & a POW is NOT guaranteed to give you Presidential qualities. When the Veterans' report card (made of Iraq & Afghanistan Vets) gives Obama a B and McCain a D.. that says something. And i never said your sis hates anyone.. but she could have posted her reasoning for voting for McCain without the massive amount of Obama bashing. It was a final straw for me.

So should a bigger deal have been made about Bush's cocaine days? b/c it was a flash in the pan as well. I have done things in the past that I'm not proud of but it doesn't mean it influences who I am today or that I don't regret doing it. AND in his books he said he regrets all that stuff. I did laugh when he said "I DID inhale that was the point".

Yes, I think it's a huge deal for candidates to admit to using something like cocaine.
