I was making a joke and an innocent observation - I do apologize if I came across "rude", it certainly wasn't my intention.
I, too, live by the golden rule - and when it comes to the person who's running this country, I prefer to dig deeper into the issues and experience rather than good speaking and empty promises.
I admit - during the democratic national convention, and any time I hear Obama speak - I am very inspired. He is a very good speaker and is a great communicator - but it takes more than that to run this country.
Actually, haven't some of the most aggregious and controversial intrusions into our lives come from this administration without congressional oversight? I thought congress was outraged when they found out how far the Bush administration had taken the wire tapping issue. They were outraged that we supported and conducted torture. They fumed when the president refused to include war expenses in the budget. They're currently angered at the bailout, since the money was "offered" without going through the appropriations process.
What the president took for his administration, he also took for others who come after him. Maybe he doesn't want to listen to your conversation for personal gain, but what about his advisors? Would the next guy allow the powers to be abused?
I don't trust Bush, but I'd be crazy to give more power to Obama or McCain because they seem like nice enough guys.
It's been proven that the did/do not have WMD. Also there are several countries that suffer from far worse tyranny then the people of Iraq did. What do we do for them? Nothing, they don't have oil

Well sure, he's fun to watch speak - he's very believable. So is my exhusband doesn't mean he isn't just blowing smoke out of his bottom. :)
What rights have you lost in the last 8 years?
I personally do not care what you are and are not "all for".

It all depends on who you talk to.
You may believe that Obama will be the next FDR, but other than rhetoric, I see nothing to hang that belief on.
I don't see any impact Obama had in the Illinois legislature, I don't see any impact Obama had in the Senate.

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure
