Unfortunately, it is a pretty thin reed on which to build a decision, especially when contrasted with specific language in the Second Amendment.
That's precisely what I mean - gun owners have the second amendment behind them so they can be quite sure that no matter who is in charge of their state, or the country for that matter, their rights will ultimately be protected.
"The top 25% pay at a rate of 127% of their share of income"
The top 25% also enjoy vastly more than 25% of the benefits of living in a progressive democracy - safe neighborhoods, the schools of their choice, multiple week-long vacations every year, plenty of healthy foods, access to health-care, great lawyers, expensive lobbyists and much, much more.
i am entering this thread pretty late, and trying to wade thru it all....
but this is a point of intereset for me...
my response...
yest the top 25 enjoy the benefits....which they have funded WAY more than thier share...btu they earned the money to enjoy the other benefits they also enjoy...
the point here (IMO) is that they pay WAY more than thier share, so take it easy when claiming theat they need to pay even more (untill you know the details)

"because, heaven forbid, if we were to say we're voting for him because he's white, THAT would be considered prejudice, right?"
You're kidding, right?
MONTANA MOM !
"Really, I have watched the news and listened to people at work, and I NEVER once heard them say they are voting for McCain because he's white."

I dont' have time to sit here and be told I don't know what's going on in the world by someone who wasn't even born when I was in college!
So I choose to protect my dogs and my family with a bullet rather than a security system!
