Why do you think McCain is better and why do you think Obama wants a socialist nation?

"if everyone had the same quality of life, then to be fair, everyone should put in the same amount of work."

That subject has been beaten like a dead horse - you can't say that the rich work harder than everyone else.

~yes...i am...i am saying that as a public school teacher....your pay probably doesn't allow you to afford some luxuries that other people can. (don't forget here that you have no idea of my prefession...maybe i am a teacher also)~

I'm kind of confused here.

I think it's worth noting that Obama isn't running based on fact that he's for an agenda different from his party whereas McCain is.

REALLY!!!???

so BO is "just another Democratic candidate"?

now i am dissapointed...i thought he was preaching how unique and different he is.

"WOW! why isnt' there more outrage for these poor people who saw a 85% decline in thier pay over 24 years!"

You may want to read that again - you clearly misread it the first time.

I honestly don't think republicans care about the common working man suffering..so long as it isn't them. I haven't read a single post yet that even attempts to show empathy or sympthy for anyone other than the rich paying too much taxes. THe common guy can go boil their heads....they need to work more...work harder...get a better job..go to school....even though none of these things may be available or realistic to do. More over..the economy needs all it's workers...no matter how much they get looked down on for not being CEO's or millionaires.

PS..for anyone else reading....please know..I am not referring to people on welfare..or people who abuse welfare...just talking about the average wokring person.

I want you to know that I was not giving you attitude in any way. I wrote "THINK" in capitol letters b/c I was pleading with you to really think your thought all the way through. I am not asking for any of the luxuries you described. I just want to be able to live comfortably without constantly struggling for money. I'm not whining b/c I don't have the money for a mansion or a sports car, I don't even have a car! Do you really think the distribution of income in this country is fair? Who would teach your children, or serve your food, or defend your freedoms if everyone was just in it for the money and the luxuries? And yes my husband's sacrifices are part of this topic, how could he have possibly worked harder to earn more money?

"...let's discuss in a civil manner."

It's hard to discuss something that offensive in a civil manner, but we do try.
