Why do you think McCain is better and why do you think Obama wants a socialist nation?

Your insulting tone is not required or helpful. I pay the taxes the government tells me to pay..hence my fair share. I don't hate the wealthy at all.

No, not if he invested that money in capital gains for instance.

< I am of the age that I like that McCain has military experience.>

Although I think military service is very honorable, I don't feel that the candidate that I choose to support has to have military experience. I think that our next President needs to have more the mentality of a diplomat rather than that of a soldier.

and as one of them said.....if we (govt) don't give businesses tax breaks to stay here, they will ship jobs overseas....which i am pretty sure no one thinks will help the economy.

interesting...right now the goverment already incents businesses to send operations and jobs overseas - I know because my former job was one of them and my employer was getting plenty of tax breaks to stay, but even more to go.

I honestly don't think republicans care about the common working man suffering..so long as it isn't them.

I have a long way to go to get through this thread, so excuse me if anyone responds to me and I don't see it in the next little bit.

I for one am actually quite offended by that statement.

The poor are subsidizing the rich in a non-income tax kinda way.

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure

I'm quite sorry you feel offended by that statement but I have yet to see anything to the contrary. I am sure there are many republicans who are working class....but I have not seen one post that ackowledges the plight so many are going through or offer any ideas other than more tax cuts for the welathy and wealthy business owners and hope that the wealth trickles down. I have only seen posts talking about the middle class not being deserving of tax cuts...assistance with health care....or relief from rising fuel and food costs. I have only seen posts from republicans saying the wealthy are getting a raw deal..that they pay for everything..and the middle class and lower classes are sponges with their hands out
