Neville Chamberlain being the British PM who unsuccessfully tried to use diplomacy with Hitler. Just one example out of many diplomats who did successfully negotiate their way out of military action, but the one that was a clear failure.
Thanks, I've been reading so many posts to various threads so I couldn't even remember what I had posted last!
As far as my diplomat/soldier comment, I guess I should have specified that I didn't so much mean soldier as I did "hothead", I was just trying to be polite. :-)

You're talking about "businesses", don't use the word "rich" which encompasses more than just businesses.
You do realize without businesses there are no jobs?
No jobs, no profits, equals no taxes?
Because you don't seem to understand that very well.

So, pushing that wealth tax again mom?
If you have investments, you are taxed:
1) when you earn the money you buy the investment with, and
2) when you sell the investment.
In otherwords, any time you realize a profit, you pay a tax on it.
mom, you're wrong again...
When you put money into your 401(k), it isn't taxed until it is distributed.
No, you are the one who is confused...
First, no one "turns their income" into capital gains.
