Socialism is MORE GOVERNMENT which OBAMA wants, tax one group more than another, and take all money and redistribute it, and have all kids taught MORALS and REGULATIONS in school, and also to make a CIVIL ARMY, that is all Socialist values!
Obama needs to explain why he supported so many of the corrupt bankers and also took money from them and how he is accountable for the bailout situation and the role he played!
It does seem rather pointless arguing economic and tax policy with people who are very uninformed about the whys and whats as is indicated over and over in their posting.
Not usually. Usually the first thing that gets cut is services to poor people, then education, we don't even start to look at the really wasteful spending (most to be found in defence dept contracts IMHO) till the social programs are bled dry.
that is sad.....i haven't seen it done that way, the way i have seen it, all un-neccecaries are cut, then waste is cut....but i haven't observed this scenario on a federal level.

Exactly, but if you invest money, are you taxed on the money PLUS the profit, or just on the profit?
"...when there is less money, people get creative with budgetting, and spending."
Or they borrow - which we've already done way too much of.
"You are taxed on the profit.
Oh please feel free to answer.

McCain's tax cuts come with a hefty price because he is running a debt on those cuts.
