Do you have any feelings about Mitt Romney’s annual income for 2010, and the less-than-15% tax rate he paid?

“That means the former Massachusetts governor made about $59,452 every day in that year, dwarfing the median household income of $49,445, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.”

He was smug and spoke of April release. When it bit him, he released only these two. People want a dozen, so this won't quiet things.

It's my knee-jerk reaction to say that he couldn't possibly represent the average American. He makes more in ONE day than I make a year - by far - so how could he be in touch with our realities? The fact of the matter though, is that any politician who is elected as President is going to be much better off than I am. I just don't know that I can consider that as a factor in deciding who to vote for.

It's not "given" to government workers. Those folks perform a job and they get paid for it, just like anyone else who works.

The most positive comment I can make: Romney wouldn't be likely to peddle his power for the sake of personal gain.

But he hasn't been attuned to how the 99% live.

I understand what you're saying about them "earning" the money. But, in that scenario they are not earning the money through the private sector...they are being given money through people paying taxes. When I make purchases for goods and services in the private sector, I am making a direct
